A few years back, Las Cruces received nationwide recognition as being "Ranked the Best" small metro area to do business (Forbes/Milken Institute), and the top area in the U.S. to retire (Money Magazine). Since then, it seems the rest of the world slowly discovered what we've already known: Las Cruces is a great place to live and do business, and the rewards of such distinction can already be seen on our landscape. The number of custom homes built in the area continues to soar and the Chamber of Commerce records new businesses almost weekly. New restaurants are popping up all over town and Mesilla Valley Mall is undergoing major renovations. Indeed, change is one thing that stays constant in our part of Southern New Mexico.
Inside Las Cruces Magazine you'll find everything you need to settle into the community, or keep yourself updated on the community you live in. We've included sections on healthcare, area schools, real estate and the economy. There are also sections dedicated to the arts and entertainment in the area, which change seasonally, so you'll have to be sure to check in now and again to find out what great events are going on in and around Las Cruces.

Questions didn’t matter because we communicated through casual conversation, we understood each other most of the time (and when we didn’t, we laughed about it.) READ MORE >>
To state that Bobby Lee Lawrence made an impression on people’s lives is an understatement. His life can best be described by the word passion, his passion toward his work as a television executive, his passion toward living life to its fullest and his passion toward his wife, Marion. In Las Cruces, we knew him as the Southwest Wine Guy through his blogs, his magazine articles and his University of Wine seminars at the Southern New Mexico Wine Festival. He enjoyed golf and he enjoyed touring on his Honda Goldwing, but I think he most enjoyed a glass of fine wine properly paired with a well-planned evening meal accompanied by stimulating conversation.
