Here, visitors have the chance to not only observe the talents of our many gifted artisans, but also to learn about the history, culture and diversity of our people and how all these factors work to inspire their creativity.

| PRESTON CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER |

Preston Contemporary Art galleries exhibit the works of mid-career and emerging international artists exploring contemporary concepts and themes via a variety of techniques and methods. Works are shown in three interior spaces and one exterior. Preston Contemporary artists have exhibited extensively internationally in art centers, museums, and renowned galleries. Opening receptions for seasonal exhibitions are held on the second Friday of January, April, July, and October annually. The Preston Contemporary Art Center is also home to the Mesilla Digital Imaging Workshops which offers aesthetic, technical and studio instruction in 2-4 day intensive workshop experiences. These workshops features photographic educators, writers, and widely published and exhibited photographers in every aspect of the medium. |

| NM STATE UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY |

The University Art Gallery serves as a showcase for contemporary visual arts in the border region. The largest visual arts facility in South Central New Mexico, the gallery presents six to nine exhibitions annually. The gallery features contemporary and historical art of regional, national and international importance. Focus includes the work of NMSU Art Department faculty, graduates students, undergraduates, traveling exhibitions and works from the university's permanent collection. The permanent collection includes 18th, 19th and 20th century Mexican retablos (devotional paintings on tin,) as well as a variety of contemporary prints, historical and contemporary photographs, paintings, prints and graphics, book art, small scale sculpture and metals, and works on paper. |

| CORBETT CENTER ART GALLERY |

The Corbett Center Art Gallery at New Mexico State University features exhibitions of high-quality artwork in all mediums by undergraduate and graduate students. The gallery is located on the second floor of Corbett Center Student Union. Admission is free. When work is being exhibited, the gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Visitors who do not have NMSU parking stickers may park in the designated visitor parking area at the end of Jordan Street, one block south from University Avenue. Students are encouraged to submit their artwork for upcoming exhibits. Please call for guidelines or information on current / upcoming exhibits. |

| MESILLA VALLEY FINE ARTS GALLERY |

The Mesilla Valley Fine Arts Gallery is a cooperative of around 30 artists offering quality and original works of art. We are from the Las Cruces, Southern New Mexico and West Texas area. The gallery visitor will enjoy a wide selection of paintings in all media, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and graphic processes. Also on display are photographic works by this areas top photographers, ceramics, glass, jewelry and pottery. Specializing in original artwork with a Southwestern ambiance, but works in a wide range of subject matter are available as well. Some of the artists also offer greeting cards and prints of their work. |

Step back in time and enjoy the talent of many local and international artists such as Noel Espinoza, Steve Hanks, Rebecca Altuna, Fred Chilton, Miguel Varella, Donald Dowell and many others in this historical gallery. Pat Garrett, the famous sheriff who shot Billy the Kid, is said to have had an office here. William Bonney contains one of the finest selections of kachinas, pottery, prints, storytellers, baskets, bronze sculptures and gold jewelry. Get a taste of Southwestern art by viewing these wonderful works of art. Take home a piece of the southwest from this well-known gallery. |

| RIO GRANDE THEATRE GALLERIES |

The El Paso Electric Visual Arts Gallery and the Carolene de Mesilla Information Center and Gallery are available for artists’ exhibits. Currently a jury selects area artists to have monthly arts shows. Artists living and working in New Mexico and El Paso, TX (within a 20 mile radius of El Paso) are eligible to submit to show in these two galleries. Artists must exhibit on the dates assigned by the Doña Ana Arts Council. Exhibits will run approximately four weeks. |
