Las Cruces has taken large strides in encouraging physicians that specialize in Women’s Health to open practices in the community. Now there are three medical offices that are dedicated just to women’s health. Women’s health is broken down into the specialties of gynecology, surgery gynecology, and obstetrics. A gynecologist practices on diseases and hygiene of the female reproductive system. Surgery gynecology is specific in dealing with the surgeries with the female system. An obstetrician specializes in pregnancy, before, during and after birth.
